Biofeedback
recognize stress

It is scientifically proven that negative thoughts and emotions produce stress hormones in the body impairing our performance and negatively affecting physical and psychological well-being. The result is an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system (ANS) which is responsible for many vital functions in the body, including breathing, heart rate, digestion and metabolism, just to name a few.

Biofeedback is a wonderful method to detect and understand how internal and external stress factors affect the body. We use HeartMath®, a science-based technology based on 26 years of research and proven to effectively reduce stress and anxiety. With this method you will learn to reduce the occurrence and duration of stressful states, by using a simple technique and a small portable device which monitors your heart rate variability (HRV) – an important indicator of the activity of your autonomic nervous system.

After assessing several base measures you will receive the device or a sensor which attaches to your smartphone. You will be working with the device 3 times a day for 5 minutes over a period of 8 weeks. The device records and saves your HRV with each exercise you do. The goal of the 8 week training is for you to be able to activate the technique immediately when needed - eventually without using any device – thereby bringing yourself into a harmonious coherent state.

We chose this method because it’s effectiveness is backed by numerous scientific studies and it is practical, fun and very easy to use.

Our patients using HeartMath report reduction in stress and anxiety, reduction of depressive states, increase in memory and general well-being and more emotional balance.
